Football: Naselle 34, North Beach 8

OYEHUT, Wash. – The Comet train continues to roll, as ninth-ranked Naselle defeated North Beach 34-8 Friday in a Pacific 2B League game.

Naselle built a 14-8 halftime lead, and behind the running of Alan Erickson (21 carries, 111 yards) and Tony “Cheetah” Fletcher (14 carries, 145 yards), increased it to 22-8 after three quarters.

The Comets, who rushed for 397 yards, improve to 6-1 overall, 4-1 in league, while the Hyaks drop to 1-7, 0-5 in league.

Naselle hosts a first place showdown with No. 5-ranked South Bend Friday.
