Seaside Coffee House puts a new face on an old favorite

Seaside Coffee House opened its doors in early December at 5 N. Holliday Drive. Formerly the Seaside Coffee Roaster, new owners Ed and Cat Thatcher used to own Generations jewelry store in Seaside.

Ed Thatcher said customers can expect the same great service and java as before. The Coffee House will continue to get their beans from the former Seaside Coffee Roaster, doing business now as local wholesaler Buzz Beans. For coffee connoisseurs, that means micro-roasted, 100 percent Arabica coffee purchased from small independent growers worldwide.

Coming this spring, Seaside Coffee House premiers a new entertainment option: Beatnik Nights Open Mic on Friday and Saturdays, featuring local musicians in an alcohol-free venue. A good spot for the coffee-minded, as well as those who’d like to learn more about the eternal bean. Open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
