Letter: ‘Do not tolerate that kind of dishonesty’

It’s sad, having to waste money to cover fraud. Mr. Seamus McVey should be recalled from his position on the Seaside City Council. Informed consent to govern means that the people had a right to know about the person they are electing. Mr. McVey’s only response was that he thought no one could find out; that shows, by his words, that he intentionally deceived the public.
One city council member stated that we don’t want to be judged on our worst day. How many on the city council have a felony history of violent crime? Armed robbery? Multiple assaults, even while incarcerated?
If I were to show you my DD214 (military discharge papers), you could read it and know it’s mine. His DD214, looks like a black blob, with dates missing.
His story about post-traumatic stress disorder, and wanting to cancel the fireworks on the Fourth of July, doesn’t ring true, and there’s no evidence he was in any theater of combat. Which makes it worse for our real war veterans, who do not tolerate that kind of dishonesty.
