Letter: Brosius has ideal skill set for county office

I am voting for Mike Brosius, who recently announced his candidacy for the Clatsop County Board of Commissioners, District 3.
Mike is positioned to make significant contributions to our county. As a retired Costco executive, he has an exceptionally strong skill set in all facets of management, budgeting, communication and administration.
What intrigues me most is his extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, which includes board service for the Columbia Memorial Hospital Foundation, Liberty Theatre and the Clatsop County Historical Society, as well as program development work with Clatsop Community College. He has also contributed to Astoria’s Heritage Square initiative and the North Coast Food Web.
This enables him to speak with deep insight with regard to education, historic preservation, healthcare and economic development. He is committed to community outreach, as evidenced by his efforts to bring Blue Zones concepts to Clatsop County as a means of creating healthier environments for all.
It is a pleasure to work with Mike Brosius; he is a team player and a visionary leader. He deserves our support in the May election.
