Timothy Earl Michaelson, 45, of Gearhart, passed away on Friday.

Timothy, otherwise known as Timmy and Nanook, was born on March 19, 1978, to Tim A. Michaelson and Earlla Michaelson-Qualin in Astoria.

After Tim graduated from Warrenton High School in 1996, there was no stopping him from being in the woods. He was a logger with Lundberg Logging for more than 14 years.

Tim met Summer when he was in Warrenton Middle School and they were 13 years old. Summer asked him to braid her hair for a basketball game, and it ended up in knots. But that was just the beginning of him becoming a professional hair braider, and they were inseparable for 31 years. They went on and had two children, 26-year-old Hunter and 22-year-old Gage.

Timmy spent his time hunting, watching YouTube hunting videos and playing with his granddaughter, his princess, Harper. He was always supporting his family. His family was his first priority.

Tim is survived by his wife, Summer; his parents, Tim A. and Earlla; his son, Hunter (Bryn); his princess, Harper; his son, Gage; his sister, Heather; his cousins, Toni, Alex and Dianna; and many more relatives.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds. In lieu of flowers, the family requests pictures or any memories of Timmy to be brought and shared. Feel free to wear your best hunting outfit in honor of Tim.
