Criminal mischief? At 8:06 a.m. Saturday, a resident of the 200 block of Auburn Avenue told Astoria police someone did $2,000 worth of damage to his vehicle.

Thefts? At 3:36 p.m. Saturday, a woman’s purse was taken from the beer garden at the Crab Festival at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds. The Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

? At 7:42 p.m. Saturday, Astoria police arrested Neil Thomas Edmiston, 43, of Seaside, for first-degree theft at the Astoria Safeway and took him to Clatsop County Jail.

DUII arrests? At 8:07 p.m. Saturday, Astoria police arrested James Lee Ferrell, 35, of Milwaukie, for driving under the influence of intoxicants in the 200 block of Nehalem Avenue and took him to Clatsop County Jail.

? At 10:15 p.m. Saturday, Astoria police arrested William Kuhn, 61, of 82417 Maple Drive, Seaside, for DUII on Oregon Highway 103 at Bay Road in Jewell.

? At 11:07 p.m. Saturday, a Clatsop County Sheriff’s deputy arrested Matt Wayne Fitzmaurice, 32, address unavailable, on the 400 block of Marine Drive and took him to the county jail, where he was cited and released.

? At 1:38 a.m. Sunday, Oregon State Police arrested Cheri Marie Maner, 35, of Longview, Wash., for DUII on the Astoria side of the new Youngs Bay Bridge after stopping her for violating the basic rule as she traveled through Astoria. She was also cited for having an open container of alcohol in her car. Maner was cited at the county jail and released. Her 2007 Hyundai sedan was towed.

Speeding? At 4:57 p.m. Friday, Oregon State Police stopped Aaron Reid Hurl, 38, of Warrenton, for violating the basic rule by traveling 75 mph in a 55 mph zone on U.S. Highway 26, near the Sunset Rest Area. A computer check showed he had a suspended license and was wanted on an outstanding warrant for his arrest on a fourth-degree assault charge, OSP reported. Hurl was lodged at the Clatsop County Jail. His car was driven from the scene by a passenger.

Assault arrests? At 12:46 a.m. Sunday, Astoria police responded to a disturbance at the Wet Dog Cafe, 144 11th St., and arrested Brent John Lyngstad, 31, of Astoria, and Matthew Ernest Schuld, 26, of Lebanon. Both men were charged with fourth-degree assault. They were taken to Clatsop County Jail, where they were cited and released.

Drug prescription forgery arrests? At 11:07 a.m. Sunday, the Astoria Safeway reported a woman had tried to fill a forged prescription. Astoria police arrested Mio Yasuko Carr, 36, of Astoria, for second-degree possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree possession of a controlled substance, felony tampering with prescription drug records, three counts each of identity theft and forgery and one count of possession of a forged instrument. She was cited at Clatsop County Jail and released.

? At 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Astoria police arrested Rodney Robert Hoffman, 29, of North Carolina, at Urgent Care Northwest, 2120 Exchange St., for second-degree possession of a controlled substance, tampering, identity theft and forgery. He was cited and released.
