MIDI accordionist Chuck Berger is back in the Pacific Northwest again, performing his magic on the MIDI accordion. During the Queen’s Ball, Friday, June 17, Berger will team up with the talented Diane Hagen to perform variety music, perfect for dancing.

Berger is known worldwide for his expertise on the MIDI accordion, and is called upon to do programming all over the world. His sounds are such that you will swear there’s a 20-piece band on stage.

Hagen has been an award-winning accordionist since the age of 5. After being away from the accordion for 23 years, she has teamed up with Berger for duets. Hagen is now playing many engagements in the Portland area. Audiences comment, “They play like they are joined at the hip!” We know you will thoroughly enjoy their talent together on stage.

Brent BuswellBrent Buswell, of Ludlow, Texas, is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has played the accordion for 11 years and enjoys playing a variety of music, including jazz, polkas, Scandinavian, marches, classical, Christian and American standards. He especially enjoys playing the music of Pietro Frosini.

Buswell has been a guest performer with the Grammy award-winning Jimmy Sturr Orchestra, and has performed for many functions throughout the Northeast including the 1998 National Finnfest held in Gorham, Maine, the Swedish Midsummer Festival in Cape Cod, Mass., and numerous Finnfun weekends. Buswell was the featured performer for the 2002 Scandinavian Midsummer Festival in Astoria. In March 2003, Buswell had the honor of performing at the Finnish Embassy in Washington, D.C. He will be returning to Astoria in 2005 to once again be the featured entertainer of the Astoria Scandinavian Midsummer Festival.

Because of the variety of music Brent enjoys playing, he has had the opportunity to perform for many functions. He has performed with country musicians, played for the Maison Robert French Restaurant in Boston and performed with the Stratton Mountain Boys, a group of musicians from Austria.
