HILLSBORO — Banks rallied from a 14-7 deficit in the first half on its way to a 31-20 win over Seaside in the Class 4A state championship football game Saturday night.
The Braves came back to force a 14-14 halftime tie, then wore down the Gulls in the second half, taking advantage of four Seaside turnovers on a cold and foggy night at Hillsboro Stadium.
It was the second win of the season over the Gulls for the Braves, who won their first state championship in school history.
Astoria defeated Banks 19-11 in the 2008 final.
