“God’s Rock or Yours?” is the final message in the series on discipleship at Astoria First Baptist Church, Seventh and Commercial streets, in the 11 a.m. Sunday service. The Rev. Jim Green uses John 12:24-26 as the basis for the message. Children’s church for grades Kindergarten to second-grade and Pathfinders, for students in third through fifth grade, meet during the service. “Crossover,” a youth ministry for high school teens, meets at 5:30 p.m. “Facing Forever,” a video-based series that looks at eternity, continues at 6 p.m.
