Tidepool Ambassador Program training offered

CANNON BEACH — The North Coast Land Conservancy is promoting training for volunteers in the Tidepool Ambassador Program at the Cape Falcon Marine Reserve for the summer.

The training, taking place in partnership with the Haystack Rock Awareness Program, is at Cannon Beach City Hall, 163 E. Gower St. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Attendees will learn about the Tidepool program and receive training to volunteer during the summer. 

After attending, volunteers will be contacted by staff about an additional training opportunity at Oswald West State Park’s Short Sand Beach, the Cape Falcon Marine Reserve site. After training, volunteers sign up for 3- to 4-hour shifts from June to September. They are supported during every shift by seasonal staff.
