The fourth annual Love the Larsen Center fundraiser, held March 22 at the Charlene Larsen Center for the Performing Arts, featured a live and silent auction of international art, donated by John and Jan Nybakke and led by auctioneer Eric Wallway. 

Astoria Mayor Sean Fitzpatrick kicked off the event by presenting bronze statues from the Nybakkes to Mark Kujala for Columbia Memorial Hospital, Beth Van Elseyk and Kristen Shauck for the Clatsop Community College Foundation and Charlene Larsen for the Charlene Larsen Center for the Performing Arts. 

The fundraiser, which raised $10,000, featured entertainment by local performers, including the Astoria Tuba Quartet, Quadraphone Saxophone Quartet, Pacific Wind Quintet, The Wables, Northwest Flute Trio and more, and ended with Celtic, folk and world music by Og O’Tuama and Christy Martin of Four Shillings Short.
