Astoria FFA members to receive state awards

Maevri Bergerson, Arabella Jones, AubreyAnne Jones, Keifer Higginbothem, Caleb Stampflee and William Phillips will be awarded the Oregon FFA State Degree on Friday at the Oregon FFA State Convention.
This degree is the highest award a state FFA association can bestow upon its members, and this is the largest number of students to earn the degree from Astoria High School.
Some of the requirements for the Oregon FFA State Degree are: receiving the Chapter FFA Degree; being an active FFA member for at least two years; completing the equivalent of at least two years of agriculture education, including a supervised agricultural experience; and participating in community service and FFA activities.
