I don’t know where Mr. Cicerelle (“It’s getting better,” March 25) is getting his news — but I can guess! Clearly things are not better, and our country, which my husband fought a war for, is getting worse daily!

Does he think taking away vaccines and medications from poor nations is better? Does he think allowing a guy from South Africa, who has no vested interest or understanding of our precious democracy, run our country is better?

Does he think totally hamstringing protections of our national parks is better? Does he think permitting a total incompetent like Pete Hegseth, who cannot even figure out that battle information should not be disseminated on a non-secure chat group, being in charge of our national security is better?

If so, I would like some of whatever he is taking, so I can stop worrying about the future of my country.
