As a Port of Astoria commissioner from 2019 to 2023, I had the privilege to serve with Dirk Rhone. I strongly support him in his bid for re-election.

Dirk was a great mentor, always prepared for meetings with independent research on topics on the agenda, and able to communicate his position logically. His preparation has led to the Port’s success. (Remember where we were 10 years ago.)

He has a very diverse history of service: serving in his Brownsmead community; serving on the Clatsop Community College Board; and as a Clatsop County commissioner. He exemplifies the inter-agency communications and cooperation required in leadership.
