Flair shop owner Jay Shepard and manager Linda Saucedo hosted an event to celebrate the store’s official dedication Monday night. The evening had a dual purpose, with the presentation of a $3,000 check to the North Coast Land Conservancy. The funds will be used to support the conservancy’s programs and initiatives, including the Coastal Edge and Boneyard Ridge acquisition.

“We were looking for a partner as part of our give back program and donate a portion of our revenue to a charitable organization we felt really strongly about, stable and worked in the local area,” Shepard said. “We’re going to support the future of the Oregon coast in perpetuity. Every stream starts with a small drop, we hope the small amount we can do will help at least to spread the word, it’s big for us being a little store.”
