DMT Development, of Seaside, will re-open Recreation Lanes, in Gearhart, in mid-January after improvements are made.
DMT purchased the bowling center on Nov. 1 for $375,000, said Marla Olstedt, who does marketing and public relations for DMT.
“They’re resurfacing the floor, (adding) fresh coats of paint and replacing some of the main equipment in the bowling lanes, like pin resetters,” Olstedt said.
DMT Development, which is owned by Mark, Tom and Darin Utti, has several holdings in Seaside, including Sign One, Finn’s Fish House, Fultano’s Pizza and Twisted Fish Steakhouse.
Recreation Lanes, 3518 Highway 101 North, will “focus on family-friendly atmosphere and will soon be offering food and beverage for any occasion, including birthday parties, business gatherings and bowling leagues,” according to a written statement from Olstedt.
