Police are seeking information about a kidnapped child, Skylar Melvin Coulcer-Jarding, who was kidnapped from his home by an adult male suspect. Brian Lester DePreist is the suspect in the kidnapping, and he is described as a 34 year old six foot five inch tall white male with brown hair, who weighs 210 pounds. 

The alert describes Skylar as 3 foot six inches tall, with sandy hair and gray eyes. Skylar also has crossed eyes, a speech impediment and wears thick glasses.

The vehicle involved in the incident is a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier, license number 229BUK.

The alert says that at 5:45 a.m. on January 23, a male suspect broke into a residence in The Dalles and assaulted two adults with a hammer before grabbing the five year old Skylar and fleeing on foot to a waiting stolen vehicle.
