Portland’s Arts Tax is due by midnight Monday. The city postponed the deadline from last month because of a technical problem.

Portlanders can pay the $35 Arts Tax online, in person, or by mailing in a check or money order. Mailed in payments must be postmarked no later than June 10 to avoid late penalties.

Terri Williams, with Portland’s Revenue Bureau, says, “Once the deadline has passed, then the late penalties can be assessed. That late penalty for missing this deadline would be an additional fifteen dollars.”

She says penalties may be waived. Forms to mail in payments can be found on the city’s website.

Voters approved the Arts Tax in last November’s election. It will fund arts education and nonprofits in Portland.
