CB Arts Association seeks original works

The Cannon Beach Gallery, a program of the non-profit Cannon Beach Arts Association, is calling for original art submissions for its All Juried Show in January of 2009. The show will be juried by Portland artist, Nicole Rawlins.

Artists should drop off work on Monday, December 29 or Thursday, January 1 from 10 a.m. -4 p.m. There is an application fee: $10 for non-members, $5 for CBAA members, $0 for active gallery docents. An individual membership to CBAA is $25 annually.

All art work must be an original (no reproductions) completed within the last two years.

Photography can be submitted.

All work needs to be for sale and exhibition ready. The Cannon Beach Gallery takes a 40 percent commission. Each artist can submit up to three pieces.

Exhibition ready: all work needs to have a wire secured to the back to hang the work from the wall. If the hanging committee has to rewire the work, it may not be hung.

There are consignment agreements and juried forms available at the gallery (1064 S. Hemlock ST, open Thurs. – Mon. from 10a.m -4 p.m..) or on our website, at the bottom of the gallery page www.cannonbeacharts.org.

Artwork that is not accepted into the show needs to be picked up between Jan. 3 and Jan. 10 during regular gallery hours. Artwork that is juried into the show will need to be picked up on Monday, Feb. 2 unless other arrangements are made with the gallery director.
