- Ear: Dexter
On July 11, 2013, part of the last episode of season eight of the series “Dexter” was filmed at the Port of Astoria and on 51st Street in Alderbrook.
The only actor present was Michael C. Hall, who played Dexter Morgan, blood spatter analyst/vigilante serial killer. The episode is considered one of the very worst final episodes of a series ever filmed.
The continuing fan outrage finally convinced Showtime, and the actor, to film a limited series do-over that picks up a decade after the last episode. Production finished earlier this year, Tom’s Guide reports, along with providing some sneak peeks; the screenshot is courtesy of Showtime.
“People found the way that show left things pretty unsatisfying,” Hall told The Daily Beast, “and there’s always been a hope that a story would emerge that would be worth telling. I include myself in the group of people that wondered, ‘What the hell happened to that guy?'”
Well, you’ll find out Nov. 7, when “Dexter: New Blood” (season nine) begins, only on Showtime.
