Camp Kiwanilong sets summer schedule

WARRENTON – Camp Kiwanilong has announced its Summer Youth Program 2007. The camp season will be from June 24 to Aug. 7, and includes six sessions.

Session 1: June 24 to June 30, the theme is “Alien,” open to grades 3 through 8; Session 2: July 1 to 7, the theme is “Fireworks,” open to grades 3 to 8; Session 3: July 8 to 14, the theme is “Dinosaur,” open to grades 3 to 8; Session 4: July 17 to 21, short session, the theme is “Superhero,” open to grades 3 to 6, recommended for first-time campers; Session 5: July 22 to 28, open to grades 7 to 9; Session 6: July 29 to Aug. 4, the theme is “Pirates,” open to grades 3 to 8.

Sessions 1, 2, 3 and 6 cost $180 each for Clatsop County residents, and $190 each for out-of-county residents. The cost for Session 4 is $140 for county residents, and $150 for out-of-county residents. Session 5 costs $200 for Clatsop County campers and $210 for those who are out-of-county.

A counselor-in-training program is also offered at Camp Kiwanilong this summer during Sessions 2 and 3 (July 1 to 14) for Clatsop County students who have completed the ninth grade, who are 15 years old or older and who have been accepted into the program.
