PORTLAND – Revenge will have to wait for another day for the Astoria football team, as La Salle topped the Fishermen 32-7 at PGE Park in Portland Friday night.

La Salle, which beat Astoria 20-16 in the first round of last year’s state playoffs, rolled up 427 yards in total offense in Friday’s win.

La Salle’s Chris Nagel rushed for 216 yards on 28 carries, caught six passes for 104 yards and scored three touchdowns for the Falcons, who trailed 7-6 at halftime.

La Salle quarterback Vince Hicks connected on 9-of-18 passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

Astoria’s Jordan Poyer ran for a 3-yard touchdown to open the scoring, but that was the extent of the scoring for the Fishermen, who were held to just 142 yards in total offense.
