With its first tenant up and running, and its second preparing to open this month, Tillamook’s newest retail center is taking shape.
“The response has been great,” said Gary Gilbert, of Atlas Investments, the Portland-based group that owns the two buildings, located on US 101 North, next to Fred Meyer. “Everyone’s real excited about the new businesses opening in Tillamook.”
Starbucks Coffee opened in early April. The store, which features a drive-through window, occupies one of five spaces in the 6,500-square-foot building.
“We’re talking to other potential tenants for the remaining spaces, but don’t have anything we can announce just yet,” said Gilbert.
In the mean time, a Burger King franchise is poised to move into the adjacent 2,600-square-foot building, also located on Atlas’ 1.2-acre property. “They’re hoping to be open in June,” said Gilbert.
Atlas also owns Youngs Bay Plaza, in Warrenton.
