Shriners Hospital to screen kids for free medical care

SEASIDE – Children 18 and younger who need free orthopedic or burn scar health care are encouraged to attend a screening clinic sponsored by the Clatsop County Shrine Club from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Providence Seaside Hospital, 725 S. Wahanna Road.
Children with a treatable condition will be referred to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Portland. All medical care at the hospital is provided free of charge. The hospital treats orthopedic conditions such as scoliosis, neuromuscular disorders, hand and back problems, leg length discrepancy, congenital hip problems, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and more.
