One drop of blood is required for the test, which gives results in five minutes. The total cholesterol test is $9 and does not require fasting. A diabetes test is $8 with eight hours of fasting required before the test. Blood tests for other health issues are available with results in two weeks.

Bone density tests are also offered, using ultrasound technology to measure the heel of the foot to predict a persons fracture risk. Patients will need to remove shoes, socks or stockings to complete the test.

A new test available is a computerized cardiovascular risk assessment that generates information on the flexibility of the brachial artery. The test takes minutes and costs $25.

NW Wellness will be at the Warrenton Rite Aid, 145 U.S. Highway 101 South, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, and at the Seaside Rite Aid, 313 S. Roosevelt Drive, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
