Two singer/songwriters to play Uniontown

John Bunzow and Charles Preston will play at Cafe Uniontown Thursday, Aug. 7.

Portland native Bunzow is a writer/musician whose style ranges from roots rock to blues. He has played in cities such as Seattle, San Francisco and Nashville. His influences include Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Elvis Costello Merle Haggard and Tom Waits.

Preston, also a Portland native, began his sojourn into music in the 1970s in Cannon Beach as a guitarist and bassist in a string of bands. He currently lives in the Columbia Gorge. He is a multi-instrumentalist and singer and writer whose style is reminiscent of Dave Frishberg, Mose Allison and Dave Carter.
