Finzi and his wife opened their market at the end of July last year. With tongue in cheek, and a ready grin, he cites insanity as the reason for opening the store. Finzi, who refers to himself as “Leo the Singing Grocer,” has 20 years teaching experience, from first grade to philosophy at the junior college level. His sense of humor is ever present, making the market a delight for customers and employees alike. One employee describes the market as a crazy place to work, in a good way.
The market is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. These are winter hours. For more information call (503) 338-4321.
