Longview, Wash. – Would you like to know more about the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001? Perhaps you would like to tell one of its chief advocates what you think about it. The public is welcome to hear former U.S. Secretary of Education Rod Paige speak at 6:30 p.m. May 11 at the Lower Columbia College Student Center in Longview.

Paige helped lead President George W. Bush’s education reform efforts, working to pass the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Under his direction of the Department of Education, each state adopted an approved accountability plan.

Paige’s visit is part of the LCC Artists and Lecture Series, and is funded by the Associated Students of Lower Columbia College, Multicultural Services and the Multicultural Club.
