Seaside Men’s Club finishes season

LONGVIEW, Wash. – The Seaside Golf Course Men’s Club celebrated its end-of-season appreciation tournament Friday at Mint Valley Golf Course in Longview, Wash.
Winners of the tournament were Eric Dunham (low gross net) and Jimmy Rogers (low gross).
The Seaside Golf Men’s Club is inviting all men interested in joining the club for next year to contact Wayne Fulmer at 738-5361. Joining fee is $20.
Members receive a discount on green fees and all rounds have rewards on three closest to the pin holes.
The season starts in April and continues through October. End-of-season includes an all expenses paid trip to a golf course in Longview, Portland or any Oregon location within 100 miles.
Seaside Men’s Club tees off at 5 p.m. every Thursday and at 3 p.m. every Sunday. It is not required that you are in attendance at every tee off.
The Seaside Golf Course was established in 1923. It consists of nine holes with a view of Tillamook Head and holes No. 5 and No. 9 are shots over the Necanicum River.
Astoria to host women’s tournamentThe Astoria Golf & Country Club is the host for the 19th Pacific Northwest Golf Association’s Senior Women’s Amateur Championship, which begins today and ends Friday.
The tournament will be 36-hole stroke play, gross and net competitions (overall and by age division).
The Senior Women’s tour includes players 50 and older. The field limit is 120, and will include several local players, as well as Joan Edwards Powell, multiple winner in the Oregon Coast Invitational.
