Command Sgt. Maj. Steven Baldwin

Mount Vernon resident Command Sgt. Maj. Steven Baldwin, who graduated from Warrenton High School and Clatsop Community College, has graduated from the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy in Fort Bliss, Texas, on June 9, with a 3.7 GPA.

He has published several articles on mission command and military tactics in the Non-Commissioned Officer Journal, Army University Press.

Command sergeant major is the highest rank an enlisted service member can achieve. Less than 1% of service members are nominated to attend the Sergeants Major Academy.
