The Pacific Unitarian Universalist Fellowship welcomes a new minister, Rev. Mira Kepler, following the retirement of Rev. Kit Ketcham, who served the community for the past 10 years.
All are welcome at noon Sunday as Kepler speaks about “Psilocybin Therapy in Oregon.” She preaches once a month and provides pastoral care.
Kepler brings insights from her practice of Zen Buddhism, her training to become a licensed psilocybin facilitator, her past work as a hospital chaplain, summer camp director, outdoor educator and activist.
She was ordained in 2019 by the First Unitarian Church of Portland, where she served as intern minister, following education at Starr King School for the Ministry and Smith College.
Other Sundays feature visiting ministers, community leaders and Pacific Unitarian Universalist Fellowship members. Child care is provided. Services are held on Sundays at noon at the First Presbyterian Church, 1103 Grand Ave.
