Myrle and Loren Bruner

A private 50th anniversary celebration is being held for Loren and Myrle (Myklebust) Bruner of Astoria at the Barbey Maritime Center on Saturday, hosted by their children.

The Bruners were married Dec. 4, 1966. Now retired, he was a teacher at Astoria High School, and she was an administrative assistant at Astoria Middle School.

The couple have a son and daughter, Eric Bruner of Smithfield, Virginia, and Amy Bruner-Dehnert of Portland, and five grandchildren.
