Just about everyone knows about the Bermuda Triangle, which extends from Florida to Bermuda to the Greater Antilles Islands, where numerous ships and airplanes have inexplicably disappeared.

But did you know there is also an Alaska Triangle, according to allthatsinteresting.com? It’s a wilderness between Utqiagvik, Anchorage and Juneau, full of mountains and crevasses that often get massive snowfalls.
In October 1972, the area became publicly known when a small passenger disappeared in midflight. There was no wreckage, and no passengers, including House Majority Leader Hale Boggs, ever turned up, even after searches covering 325,000 square miles.
Since then, more than 20,000 people have gone missing, and more planes have vanished, earning the area a supernatural aura. Some think the triangle has energy vortexes that can disorient people, like in the Bermuda Triangle, and electronic readings support the theory.

Adding to the mystery, in 1986, a Japan Airlines flight encountered not one, but three unidentified aerial phenomena in the triangle that kept pace with the plane while flashing bursts of light. The incident was confirmed by military radar. And some believe extraterrestrials reside inside the triangle.
Meanwhile, the Sasquatch rumors abound in the Alaska Triangle. Cryptozoologist Cliff Barackman notes that “with so much fantastic habitat and so few people to compete with, Sasquatches basically have the run of Alaska.” All in all, it sounds like a wonderful area to avoid. (Map: Cryptid Wiki)
