Viral Video Star From Idaho Gov’s Race Hopes To Star In Reality TV

Harley Brown, the Idaho governor candidate with a “masters in raising hell,” is about to get more air time.
Boise Weekly reports that Brown just signed an exclusive talent agreement with Mad Jack Entertainment in Los Angeles for his very own reality show.
“We politicians crave publicity like an alcoholic craves his next drink,” Brown said in an interview. “This is essentially giving me my own liquor store.”
Brown is busy assembling his campaign staff to begin filming this fall. He said raising funds shouldn’t be a problem since his debut at the Republican gubernatorial debate went viral.
For those of you who missed it, earlier this year, a video of that debate exploded on social media as those outside of Idaho marveled at the colorful candidates. Stephen Colbert spent a full seven minutes talking about it on his show. As the Idaho Statesman reported, candidates Gov. Butch Otter and Sen. Russ Fulcher were an afterthought, but both Brown and Walt Bayes became unintentional comedians. For his part, Brown talked about Playboy bunnies and being “ordained by God to be president.”
Colbert was joined by BuzzFeed, Gawker, Politico, Slate and the Washington Post in publicizing the bizarre exchange.
Perhaps Brown may be best remembered for his colorful metaphorical language:
“You have your choice folks: A cowboy, a curmudgeon, a biker or a normal guy,” he said.
