World Cup Preview: Not Everyone’s Rooting For Team USA

Ghana and the United States will face off Monday at Arena das Dunas in Brazil. This is the third consecutive time the two teams will be playing each other in the World Cup.
Ghana has dominated this rivalry so far. In 2006 and again four years later, the Black Stars sent the Americans home.
A defeat won’t mean elimination this time for either side but both need to win to have a chance of surviving what many consider the “Group of Death.”
Christian Brown is a native Ghanaian living in the Portland area. He says the matchup should be a good one.
“The fact that Ghana is playing the World Cup alone is really exciting” Brown says. “I’m looking forward to a very exciting match. So everybody is very excited here at work as well and we are looking forward to all watching the game and enjoying the game.”
After the U.S. and Ghana play each other, they’ll both face Germany and Portugal — ranked by FIFA as the second and fourth best teams in the world.
