Lori Vollmer of Corvallis, daughter of Allen and Lynette Vollmer of Astoria, exchanged wedding vows with Michael Schumacher of Corvallis, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at the First Lutheran Church of Astoria. The groom is the son of Allan Schumacher of Astoria and Heidi Goerl of Appleton, Wis.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. The Rev. Ron McCallum performed the ceremony. Music was provided by pianist Laurie Drage.
Maid of honor was Jodi Vollmer of Astoria, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Monica Morales and Yunji Choi, both of Corvallis and college friends of the bride. Flower girl was Chloe Brenden of Warrenton, the daughter of a family friend.
Best man was Wes Padgett of Astoria, friend and co-worker of groom. Groomsmen were Beau Brenden of Warrenton, friend and co-worker of groom, and John Doyle of Garibaldi, college friend of groom. Ring bearer was Brody Brenden of Warrenton, the son of a family friend.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of Astoria High School, a 2009 graduate of Clatsop Community College and a 2012 graduate of Oregon State University. She is a civil engineering associate for the city of Albany Public Works Engineering Department.
The bridegroom obtained a GED in 2004, and graduated from Clatsop Community College in 2011. He attends Oregon State University and is a seasonal welder/fabricator.
A beach-themed reception was held at the Sons of Norway Lodge in Gearhart.
The honeymoon destination was the Hawaiian Islands of Hawaii, Oahu and Kauai.
The couple reside in Corvallis.
