Pacific Marine Conservation Council recently relocated its Astoria offices to approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of space in the historic Fisher Brothers building at 42 7th Street, Suite 102, Astoria.
PMCC, founded in 1997 by coastal fisherman, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization operating in Washington, Oregon and California. PMCC has another office in Port Townsend, Wash.
Matt Van Ess, PMCC’s Executive Director, said the organization is place-based, and represents fishing communities and concerned citizens dedicated to sustaining healthy and diverse marine ecosystems on the West Coast.
“We’re supported by philanthropic organizations, such as the Lazar Foundation, Bullitt Foundation, Autzen Foundation and The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation,” he said.
Other PMCC staff members working from the new Astoria office location are Peter Huhtala, Senior Policy Director, and Deborah McEuen, Operations Director. For more information visit www.pmcc.org or call (503) 325-8188.
