Obituaries: Jeremy G. Berlin

Jeremy G. Berlin, 31, of Wheat Ridge, Colo., formerly of Astoria, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, in Wheat Ridge.

He was born to Rodney L. Berlin and Donna Salem Rummel July 28, 1975, in Berwick, Pa. His father preceded him in death in 1997. His mother survives, residing in Wheat Ridge.

A resident of Clatsop County from 1980 to 2002, Mr. Berlin went to school in Astoria.

He worked in restaurants in the Astoria area, including the Brass Rail. He also worked as a flight attendant for Horizon and Alaska Airlines.

Family members said he enjoyed skiing, traveling and cooking.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Ricky Berlin of Portland; a half-brother, Andrew Rummel of Wheat Ridge; three aunts, Deborah Derushie of Warrenton and two aunts residing in Berwick; two uncles, Paul Berlin Jr. of Hobe Sound Fla., and Scott Berlin of Salem; and grandparents, Regina Salem of Berwick and Paul and Dorothy Berlin of Seaside.

A service may be held next spring in the Seaside area.
