Astoria Sunday Market celebrates Farmers Market Week

Farmers Market Week is Aug. 4 through Aug. 10, and the Astoria Sunday Market is celebrating the occasion on Sunday during the market, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on 12th Street.

The market hosts 24 farmers, fishmongers, and vendors who grow a large variety of vegetables and fruit, flowers, microgreens, mushrooms, eggs and seafood.

These farmers represent more than 300 acres of preserved farmland. Many use regenerative practices. including no-till or low-till, drip irrigation, watering with mostly rainfall, crop rotation ans beneficial insects.
