Victor Andie Albertsen, 90, of Scappoose, died Friday, March 3, 2006 in Scappoose.

He was born Aug. 27, 1915 in Astoria to John Oskar Albertsen and Olga Karine Swenson.
Mr. Albertsen attended Capt. Robert Gray Elementary School in Astoria and received the rest of his education in Rainier.
He married Anna Gertrude Baker Feb. 22, 1945 in Tumalo, Wash. She preceded him in death Nov. 12, 2005.

Mr. Albertsen was a logger and driver for the Astoria Transit Co. He also was a deck hand and slip tender on the Megler-Astoria Ferry and a draw-bridge operator. He retired in January 1980.
His enjoyed fishing, gardening, visiting with friends and traveling. He was a charter member, past elder of the Lewis & Clark Bible Church. He also was a member of the Civil Conservation Corps.
Mr. Albertsen is survived by one son, Daniel Albertsen of Astoria; two daughters, Carol Fitzgerald of Beaver and Barbara Aho of Gearhart; nine grandchildren, Nancy Christman of Milwaukie, Heidi West and Daniel B. Albertsen, both of Astoria, David Fitzgerald of Portland, Josh Albertsen of Redmond, Rena Albertsen of Redding, Calif., Bryan Aho and Heather Morris of Dallas, and Kelsey Gobroski of Anchorage, Alaska; two sisters, Johanna Schmidlin of Surprise, Ariz., and Jane Erickson of Forest Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandi Gobroski; two brothers, Palmer and Andrew Albertsen; and a sister, Opal Mannila.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Lewis & Clark Bible Church, 35082 Seppa Lane in Astoria.
Private interment will be at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton.
