Residents and visitors should remember:

Minors under the age of 18 are prohibited by Seaside ordinance from being on any street, highway, park or alley between midnight and 4 a.m. unless accompanied by a parent or guardian;

An open container of alcoholic beverages anywhere in the city is prohibited by ordinance. The base fine is $700;

Alcoholic beverages on the beach are prohibited by ordinance during spring break, and violation of that can result in an open container citation.

Officers from Astoria, Gearhart, Warrenton, Cannon Beach, Oregon State Office and the Clatsop County Sheriff’s Department are joining with the Seaside Police Department to provide extra enforcement of traffic laws along U.S. Highways 26 and 101, bicycle and foot patrols in the downtown Seaside area and horse patrols of the beach.
