Weddings: Maltman – Horning

Katherine Suzanne Maltman of Seaside, daughter of Tom and Ginger Maltman of Seaside, exchanged wedding vows with Eric Bridgers Horning of Seaside Dec. 31, 2005 at the Cannon Beach Community Hall in Cannon Beach. The groom is the son of John and Le Horning.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Pastor David Robinson performed the ceremony.

In a New Year’s Eve tree-lit ceremony, the bride wore a sheath-style gown with trumpet skirt and crystal-adorned bodice. The groom was dressed in United States Marine Corps “Dress Blues.”

The bridesmaids were the bride’s sisters, Kenna Maltman of Hillsboro and Sally Maltman of Portland.

The groomsmen were his

brothers, Jerrit Jolma of Bonney Lake, Wash., and Wade Horning of Seaside.

A reception in the Cannon Beach Community Hall followed the ceremony.

The couple honeymooned for a weekend at St. Bernards in Arch Cape and six weeks in Oceanside, Calif.

They will reside in Southern California until the groom’s military commitment is complete, then they will make their home on the North Coast of Oregon.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Seaside High School and is a student at Polomar Community College of San Marcos, Calif., studying to be a certified dental assistant.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Seaside High School and is in the U.S. Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif. He is currently deployed to Iraq.
