Business can turn photos into slide show

What to do with those boxes of unsorted photos piled away in the back of your closet? Sherrie Culp can turn them into professional-style slide stories accompanied with music and animation.
A longtime hobbyist, the Columbia City resident and legal assistant decided to put her creative talents to work and opened Memories In Motion in August.
Culp can work either with digital photos or scan regular photos to create a slide show presentation, which are gaining popularity at wedding receptions, birthday parties and anniversary celebrations. She said clients also request slide shows of such momentous occasions as graduations, honeymoon trips and births.
In addition to preparing the photos, Culp also can incorporate appropriate music and animation into the program.
Unlike similar services that structure their fees based on a range of photos (for example 0-25), Culp charges for the actual number of photos used in the presentation, which can be a savings to the client.
“I think that what sets me apart from others is my pricing structure and the personal service that I provide the client,” she said.
Culp will provide a sample of her work on DVD to interested parties. For more information call (503) 396-1391 or visit www.memories-motion.com.
