ILWACO, Wash. Walt Twidwell of Brooklyn, Wash., will serve as Master of Occident Lodge No. 99, Free and Accepted Masons of Washington for 2013.

He will be installed at an open installation at the monthly meeting 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the lodge in Ilwaco.

He will take over leadership from 2012s master, Ed Cox of Ocean Park, who will fill the office of Junior Warden next year.

Twidwell is a former district deputy for Washington Masonic District 18. Cox will install Twidwell, who will then take back the gavel and serve as installing master for his new slate of officers.

The following officers will be installed: Senior Warden, Sherman Richmond, Klipsan Beach: Secretary, Michael Carmel, Long Beach; Treasurer, Les Moore, Ilwaco; Senior Deacon, Richard Rodlun, Ocean Park; Junior Deacon, Robert Rader, Ilwaco; Senior Steward, Mike Thornton, Seaview; and Tyler, Cleve Rolfe, of Seaside.

Installing Chaplain will be Dobby Wiegardt of Ocean Park; Installing Secretary, Jim Mack of Ocean Park; and Installing Marshal, Joe Wagner of Cosmopolis.
