Alderbrook creates a director of golf position

IDAVILLE After a three-week closure for annual cleaning, and maintenance, the Alderbrook Golf Course and its Kokos restaurant have reopened.
Director of golf Andy Neal and new general manager Katy Laviolette said 2012 will be a big year for the golf course and restaurant 5 miles north of Tillamook.
Neal and Laviolette said that they are planning more events, golf tournaments and a new junior golf program for this season. 2012 is the year to make this place, said Laviolette.
The general manager title is new for Laviolette. Her primary responsibility has been to run Kokos restaurant since it opened in August 2010.
The previous general manager Laviolettes husband, Justin has returned to work for LRL Construction, the golf clubs parent organization.
Neal, former manager of the Tillamook County Fairgrounds and before that, executive director of the Tillamook Area Chamber of Commerce, has recently joined Alderbrook as director of golf.
Hes responsible for everything from staffing the pro shop and organizing play to setting up tournaments.
Neal has a special connection to Alderbrook. His grandparents owned the golf course before it was purchased by its current owners, Dan and Koko Laviolette.
