Pharmacists asked to watch for stolen prescription pads

SEASIDE Seaside police are asking local pharmacists to watch for prescriptions written on stolen prescription pads from Dragonheart Family Healthcare.
The pads were taken during a burglary early Thursday morning. Dragonheart was one of several downtown businesses hit by burglars.
Pharmacists are being asked to check the serial numbers on the prescription pads brought in by customers. The serial numbers known to be missing are 501 to 550. Pharmacists can call Dragonheart at (503) 738-9901 to verify the prescription.
More prescription pads with other serial numbers may be missing and not yet discovered, according to police.
If a customer is found to be using a stolen pad, pharmacists should also call the police at (503) 738-6311. If the customer leaves prior to a police officers arrival, the suspects name, contact phone number, address and description would be helpful. Pharmacists should take the prescription and not return it to the suspect.
