Fort Clatsop is one of the North Coasts most popular historic

attractions. It is part of the Lewis and Clark National Historical Park that was formed in 2005 to include historic sites in Oregon and Washington where members of the Lewis and Clark

Expedition explored.

Living history demonstrations take place in the summer, Park rangers dress in costumes to show what life might have been like for those early explorers.

There are exhibits with several Lewis and Clark-era artifacts

inside the memorial. Outside there is a picnic area, hiking trails and canoe/kayak landings.
