Miss Oregon Scholarship Program pageant takes the stage July 2

SEASIDE The Miss Oregon Scholarship Program pageant will be held at 7:30 p.m. July 2 at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center, 415 First Ave. in Seaside. There are 22 young women vying for the title of Miss Oregon, and 19 teens competing for the Miss Oregons Outstanding Teen crown.

The 2011 Miss Oregon contestants:

Rebecca Anderson, 20, is Miss Cascade. Her platform is Education for a Greener World and her talent is vocal performance.

Alesya Neverov, 21, is Miss City of Sunshine. Her platform is Just One Extra: Supporting the Feeding America Food Bank Network and her talent is vocal performance.

Jessica Humble, 19, is Miss Clatsop County. Her platform is The Strengthening Families Program and her talent is dance.

Katie Romanko, 17, is Miss Coos County. Her platform is Share Bear Program and her talent is dance.

Madison Munn, 18, is Miss Crook County. Her platform is Promoting Globalmindedness in Youth and her talent is playing the piano.

Brooke Painter, 18, is Miss Douglas County. Her platform is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention and her talent is Tahitian hula dance.

Havilah Hunt, 21, is Miss Emerald Valley. Her platform is Advocacy for Adoption: Forever Families for Foster Children and her talent is vocal performance.

Kirsten Campbell, 20, is Miss Jackson County. Her platform is Kids Unlimited: Empowerment Through Community Involvement and her talent is playing the saxophone.

Kelsie Flynn, 22, is Miss Klamath County. Her platform is North American Riding for the Handicapped Association Therapeutic Horseback Riding for Combating Disabilities and her talent is tap dance.

Amanda McDougall, 21, is Miss Lane County. Her platform is Type-I Diabetes Awareness and her talent is vocal performance.

Caroline McGowan, 20, is Miss Linn-Benton. Her platform is Eating Disorder Awareness: Empowerment Through Attitude and her talent is vocal performance.

Shelbi Widner, 19, is Miss Malheur County. Her platform is Ronald McDonald House Charities and her talent is comic monologue.

Nichole Mead, 23, is Miss Marion-Polk County. Her platform is Operation Yellow Ribbon and her talent is dance.

Alyssa Sanders, 19, is Miss North Coast. Her platform is Recycling For A Better Tomorrow and her talent is Philippino interpretive dance.

Alexandria Henderson, 22, is Miss Portland. Her platform is Gotta Have Heart 30-for-30 and her talent is vocal performance.

Jennifer Brummett, 18, is Miss Prineville. Her platform is The Prevention of Child Abuse and Domestic Violence and her talent is vocal performance.

Kayla Bowker, 20, is Miss Rogue Valley. Her platform is Childhood Cancer and her talent is vocal performance.

Kaitlin Endres, 23, is Miss Southern Gem. Her platform is One Child at a Time, One Friend at a Time and her talent is dance.

Lauren Fox, 22, is Miss Three Rivers. Her platform is Embracing Stories; Promoting Tolerance with Media and her talent is vocal performance.

Elizabeth Denny, 20, is Miss Tri Valley. Her platform is Hope for Life Suicide Prevention and her talent is vocal performance.

Kaylee Nelson, 19, is Miss University of Oregon. Her platform is Media Literacy: Buying into the Hype and her talent is dance.

Marissa Huddleston, 20, is Miss Washington County. Her platform is Team in Training. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and her talent is dance.

 

The 2011 Miss Oregons Outstanding Teen contestants:

Briana Bauer, 16, is Miss Beaverton Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Addressing Teen Bullying and her talent is a cheer-inspired dance.

Hannah Fairfield, 17, is Miss City of Sunshine Outstanding Teen. Her platform is The Child Obesity Epidemic and her talent is playing the piano.

Abi Anderson, 16, is Miss Clatsop County Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Make-A-Wish Foundation and her talent is French vocal performance.

Quinlyn Deming, 16, is Miss Coos County Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Boys and Girls Club/Smart Girls and her talent is playing the alto saxophone.

Raluca Gosman, 15, is Miss Douglas County Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Solar Energy Awareness and her talent is playing the piano.

Chiavan Chriestenson, 13, is Miss Gresham Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Every Girls A Princess Preventing Human Trafficking One Girl At A Time and her talent is tap dance.

Amanda Gatz, 15, is Miss Klamath County Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Hands and Words are Not for Hurting and her talent is a tumbling routine.

Brittany Clig, 17, is Miss Lane County Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Forever Friends and her talent is lyrical dance.

McKenna Wilson, 16, is Miss Malheur County Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Ensuring Literacy for the Literate Generation and her talent is vocal performance.

Jordyn Greene, 15, is Miss Marion-Polk County Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Al-anon and Alateen and her talent is dramatic monologue.

Alexis Mather, 16, is Miss North Coast Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Be a Mentor Your Way and her talent is opera.

Audrey Edgley, 15, is Miss Portland Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Our Soldiers: a National Treasure and her talent is vocal performance.

Marli Martin, 13, is Miss Rogue Valley Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Building Families Through Adoption and her talent is vocal performance.

Alexi Provost-Shean, 16, is Miss Southern Gem Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Skin Cancer Awareness and her talent is tap dance.

Hannah Garhofer, 14, is Miss Sunset Empire Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Celiac Disease Awareness and her talent is dance.

Ali Wallace, 17, is Miss Sunset Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Brain Champions, Real Champions, Real Solutions and her talent is dance.

Rebecca Jepsen, 17, is Miss Three Rivers Outstanding Teen. Her platform is 4-H: Empowering Youth to Reach Their Full Potential and her talent is playing the harp.

Summer Pilcher, 16, is Miss Tri Valley Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Volunteerism in Young Adults and her talent is vocal performance.

Sydney Nelson, 16, is Miss Washington County Outstanding Teen. Her platform is Fighting Hunger: The Oregon Food Bank and her talent is dance.
