Kenton and Kathleen (Welborn) Cruzan of Astoria will celebrate their 50th anniversary Saturday with a private family dinner after they participate in the Astoria Regatta Parade.

They were married Aug. 13, 1961, in Newport, by the Rev. Fred G. Scherer. The couple have two daughters, Cheryl (Cruzan) Johnson and her husband, Bruce, of Camas, Wash., and Charlotte (Cruzan) Coloma and her husband, Dale, of Tigard; and four grandchildren, Emily, Eric and Kathryn Johnson and Sean Coloma.
