Wedding: Bandeen – Brito

Ginger Renee Bandeen of Scappoose, daughter of Michael and Irene Bandeen of Warrenton, exchanged wedding vows with Alexander Brito, also of Scappoose, at 4 p.m. Monday, July 4, 2011, at Antler Acres Guest House in Wallowa. The groom is the son of Hilda Acosta of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Joaquin Brito of the Dominican Republic.

The ceremony was performed by Pastor Kathryn L. Garver. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The groom was given in marriage by his son, Jamie Brito. The bride wore a white cotton princess eyelet dress by Banana Republic.
The couple planned the wedding in secret and surprised their families with a small ceremony held at a picnic two days after the brides sisters wedding. To keep it simple, they only announced their plan minutes before they said their vows.
Bridesmaids were Holly Goebel of Wallowa and Wendy Files of Seattle. Flower girl was Olivia Files of Seattle. Ring bearer was Addison Files of Seattle.

Groomsmen were Jake Goebel of Wallowa and Jamie Brito of Scappoose.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Warrenton High School and a 2000 graduate of McDaniel College. She received a masters degree in social work from the University of Tennessee in 2001. She is a quality improvement manager at Columbia Community Mental Health in St. Helens.
The groom received an associates degree from Umpqua Community College in 2008, and a bachelors degree in 2010, and a masters degree in 2011, from Portland State University. He is a mental health counselor at Columbia Community Mental Health in St. Helens.
A reception was held at Antler Acres Guest House in Wallowa. After the ceremony, the group finished the picnic then ended the day by car pooling to Joseph to watch the Independence Day fireworks over Wallowa Lake.
The couple resides in Scappoose.
